The Urban Industry Initiative offers manufacturers help in better managing their employees - their "human resources". The UII staff includes a professional human resources manager who will provide assistance in recruiting, legal compliance, employee counseling, benefits, job and career development as well a s help owners build an organization capable of implementing productivity improvements and capturing new business opportunities. The HR manager will also organize local job fairs and manage the UII student internship program. The number of companies that can participate in this program is limited.
